day 47: is the truth always good to hear, why or why not
No, the truth is not always good to hear. Sometimes the whole truth can literally destroy you, but by the same token the truth needs to be heard. Many of our actions are dictated by what we believe to be true. Therefore, we should know the real truth and not some bullshit lie. Now I also believe that certain things can be left unsaid to protect someone, but in the end the truth will always come out.
day 46: what makes you smile
People, friends, re-living great memories, old movies (preferably 80’s highschool movies), musicals, Disneyland, Disney movies, cuddling, kissing, hand holding, baseball, football, spending time with my family, milkshakes, driving, roller coasters, online gaming, dancing, food (particularly a steak at Duke’s in Hawaii, best meal of my life), music, success, reaching my goals, my pooch, singing (only when I’m alone), good morning texts, and lots of other things. I think the biggest one would be sincerity from friends, concerning how they feel about you and what you really mean to them. Cause when you mean a lot to a friend, you can truly be yourself and not have to worry.
day 45: when was the last time you tried something new
I guess at work recently. I’ve tried being really nice and friendly even when I feel like a piece of shit outside of work. I try engaging complete strangers in conversation, even if I will only see them for 20 seconds in my entire life. And I’ve learned that it feels good to be nice, and people usually respond to this attitude. Of course you’re going to have the occasional asshole, but the world’s full of them so they’re impossible to avoid. The feeling of making someone else smile, even if they’re a complete stranger, is quite satisfying.
day 44: when is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just do what you know is right
I’m not really sure, I’m the type of person to over-analyze the shit out of absolutely everything in life, even to a single smiley face in a text. So my breaking point has to be when I feel I have lost sanity and am ready to move on with my life and make a decision. Now know which choice is the right one is a completely different issue…
day 43: is it possible to lie without saying a word
Of course, answer a yes or no questions untruthfully by nodding your head.
day 42: your best friend just died, what is your reaction
I have no idea. I’ve tried imagining what it would be like if someone really close passed away, but I just can’t. I always figure that’s not going to happen, but the scary truth is that we never know when anyone is going to pass away. So my response to this post is simply: enjoy the one’s you love while they’re still here and spend time with them like it’s the last time you get to see them, always.
day 41: write a letter to yourself stating all the things you love about yourself
Dear me,
I know you don’t think you love a lot of things about yourself, but you should. So I’m going to write you this letter even though I really don’t want to. I love you’re sense of humor, we seem to laugh at the same stupid shit. I love your work ethic, whether it be in school, work, or otherwise. I love your loud, obnoxious laugh that gathers everyone’s attention within earshot. Mostly, I love you for who you are, no matter what anyone else thinks.
Love,
You
day 40: what are features you get complimented on a lot
The feature I get compliments on most is my hair, kinda because it’s long and curly and hard to miss. What I get the most comments on is my glasses; they’re round so people say I look like Harry Potter. And the things people love or hate about me is my laugh. It’s loud and pretty obnoxious, and people are usually unafraid to express how they feel about it.
day 39: why you think you’ve learned more from the good or the bad
Definitely the bad. When things are going good you don’t really think about the fact that they’re good, you just enjoy life. But when things are bad, all you hope for is the good and reflect on why things are bad. I hate to say it, but everyone has to go through the bad to learn
